Revolution Tea is all full-leaf tea and full-leaf herbal flowers. As such, you will get more than one cup from each bag. Use the bag as you would loose-leaf tea and keep putting water on until the flavour runs out. I fill my cup with hot water and then lower the bag into the cup, leave it for 2-3 minutes and then take it out and leave it on a saucer or another cup and then, when I am ready for a re-fill, I use the bag again - and again! It depends how weak or strong you like your tea. There is no right or wrong. Particularly with green tea, some people like to just dip the bag into the water and then take it out. With black teas, you may want to leave the bag in longer to get a stronger taste.
A good guideline is between 1-3 minutes for green and white teas, 3-4 minutes for herbals and 3-5 minute for blacks.
Temperature: It is a myth that tea needs to be made with boiling water. Like coffee, boiling water can scald the tea leaves and leave a bitter taste. Always use hot water.
The correct water temperature for brewing green tea leaves is hot water between 160 - 175 degrees. Oolong Tea likes it a little hotter and Black tea just under boiling.
And remember - all the flavour and goodness will not infuse the first time that you pour water on. Use the bags again and again until the flavour runs out. The Chinese say that the second and third cup are better than the first!
